Incredible Engagement Stories - Lisa & James

A truly picture perfect engagement . . .

Lisa & James
February 04, 2010

I am originally from NB, and always make at least one trip home a year. James was able to join me this year in August 2010. We took one day with friends to go see the Hopewell Rocks as James has never seen them. We were at the end of the beach when James said lets get our picture beside this rock. I wanted to head out as we had on 30 mins to get back before the tide came in. He said just a couple of pictures and that’s it. After the two pictures were taken by our friend I was ready to go. James held my hand and said one more. When I turned back around he was down on one knee with the ring in hand. Needless to say I was shocked and started crying as I have been waiting for this moment for years. (we have been together for 7 years.) I don’t remember what he asked, but he did have to ask if I was going to say “yes”, as I was so stunned and forgot to answer him. It was the best day, and I could have cared less about the tide coming in.

Luscious Layered Hair for the Winter Season

Winter is here and Bridal Fantasy feels that the holidays definitely justify a hairdo update . . . and we’re thinking layers! Hairstyles-Pedia.com advises: “Adding layers to long hair is an easy way to instantly update your hairstyle without having to sacrifice hair length or making any extreme changes”.

As well, soft layers and waves look amazing and are great for most face shapes as they do not alter the structure of the face in a highly decisive manner but at the same time influence the geometry of the face in a favorable way creating movement and framing the face as well as adding natural volume to the hair.

Hairstyle-pedia.com also suggests that by adding side swept bangs like Reese Witherspoon’s, it is a great way to minimize the length of your face or simply to draw attention to certain characteristics that might not be highlighted otherwise.

Or try the wavy and layered hair look like Kate Hudson to exude that summer beach hair look even though the weather is telling you otherwise. This look not only adds texture and volume to your hair, it’s also fun and full of life. Just make sure to protect your wavy locks from the harsh winter weather.

Tips:
Moisture is key!
Hair by Joey recommends using shampoo and conditioners that are rich in natural humectants (substances that promote the retention of moisture in your hair or skin).

A treatment that Hair by Joey recommends is to work in a teaspoon or two of nourishing oil, such as olive oil (your typical grocery store version will work), into your hair and pull your hair gently back into a loose bun. Let it soak overnight before washing it out the next morning. The oil is excellent for fighting frizz and controlling static.

Niemierko: A wedding at The Orangery at Kensington Palace…and a Foot in the Door for the Royal Wedding?

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

With the date of the royal wedding announced (April 29, 2011) and Westminister Abbey chosen as the venue, many are wondering who will plan the millenium’s biggest wedding to date. Among the speculated frontrunners is a company called Niemierko.

Niemierko is a London based company that describes itself as “the wedding and event planning company of choice for savvy and stylish clients.” And plenty of saavy clients choose them. They are considered one of London’s leading event planners. BBC recently called on founder Mark Niemierko for insight on what might happen at the wedding of Kate and Prince William. You can watch the video here. Mark has been interviewed by several of London’s press about the upcoming royal wedding, and on aisledash.com, he sums up the royal couples venue choice as follows: “For London and the whole of the UK there’s not a more grand ceremony venue than Westminster Abbey. Brides can only dream of having their fairytale wedding at such a prestigious venue.”

NIEMIERKO WEDDING: Regal Russian from Niemierko on Vimeo.

This video is not of Westminister Abbey, but it shows Niemierko doing magic in another historic London landmark – The Orangery at Kensington Palace. The wedding took place last Friday (Nov. 19, 2010). Niemierko wanted to “create something exceptional yet intimate” in a regal setting, the company states on its Facebook page. Looking at what they’ve created here, it would be incredible to see what they could do with a venue like Westminster Abbey.
