Incredible Engagement Stories – Christine & Eric

Like how a picture is worth a thousand words, so was Eric’s proposal . . .

Christine & Eric ~ 8/20/2011

Eric made me a beautiful photo album/scrapbook for our first Christmas together, where he included “future” pages about upcoming events. It was very thoughtful and has been such a treasure.

On August 26th, 2010 at Burnstick Lake AB (my dad’s family cabin), Eric and I went for a canoe ride to a private area of the lake, where we docked and sat on the bank. As we were relaxing, Eric brought out the photo album, which he had been working on for several of the past nights. He had finished the album, filled in all the pages that used to be “future” pages, such as some friend’s weddings, as well he had added new pages about our recent adventures.

On the last page he included a new “future” page about our wedding. As I turned to this page, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. I immediately broke down sobbing and could barely get out “YES!”. We said a thank-you prayer to our wonderful Lord for bringing us together. The moment was absolutely perfect.
